About

A long long time ago (pre 1996) the FA Cup was the pinnacle of the English game. Is it still relevant in a Premier League and Champions League dominated 2014?

I believe so.  Underneath the BT Sport contract, glitzy TV graphics, and contempt sometimes shown by the top teams the core brilliance that made the FA Cup such a romantic concept is still alive and kicking, and I hope to rediscover the magic of cup at the heart of where it lies, on a matchday in every round of the cup.

Starting with the extra preliminary round I shall attend at least one match of every round of the 2014/15 FA Cup with Budweiser (Only time I’ll ever type that, promise!) .

The FA Cup has provided me with some of the greatest and worst experiences as a football fan, at a time where many are becoming disillusioned with modern football where better to find some inspiration?
